Amazon reviews for the Bah! book are making me blush/cry… here.

    Hi,
Feeling a bit crappy after second chemo I was tempted by rare sunshine to go for a drive. I wondered into a bookshop this afternoon with no intention other than humouring my family and found myself picking up your book. I was soooo not ready to read about breast cancer but I flicked a few pages and found myself giggling. I put the book down obviously, because I am soooo not ready to read about what I have/have not/had but on the spur of the moment grabbed it again and before I knew what I was doing, it was paid for.
I read it in two hours and am amazed. It is like I am reading my own story but I would have used a ruder word than Bah! Several probably.

    I want to thank you.
You have allowed me to tweak those final wee pieces of my mind which were bugging me, such as ‘dancing with ‘ rather than ‘having’ cancer. Asking for help rather than just getting on with it and struggling.
I was only diagnosed 8 weeks ago and since then have had two surgeries and two chemos so I have not had time to tweak them myself…chemo brain got there first.

A great book with enough humour to humanise our situations and make it seem bearable. And our situations/ages are very similar so it was close enough for me to find it very helpful…you have also put enough facts in to actually help me: I was never told the stats for survival with chemo nor the fact that the first two do most of the work. Your experiences of radiotherapy are also helpful as I have yet to have that, and really do not know what to expect despite already meeting my radiotherapist.

This is a great book, funny, real and despite being HH (dis-ease my butt) I found myself reading it all in one go and reading bits out to my husband. He of course is just pleased to hear me laugh but I know he now wants to read it. It has been a real tonic in more than one way.

I have several websites and blog and fb page as I have been totally open with my own situation and will be telling everyone about this book . Thank you!

    Dear Gaynor,
Hello and welcome to Bah!. I’m so glad you found the book – reading your comment was like reading everything I hoped for the book. So – thank you for taking the trouble to come and say what you have said. Take care, and be well,
    Stephanie x

I was alo moved reading this by my namesake – there aren’t too many of us around! Stephanie and I had the same surgeon which is how we met when she lived in Wimbledon.

I was alo moved reading this by my namesake – there aren’t too many of us around! Stephanie and I had the same surgeon which is how we met when she lived in Wimbledon. She is an inspiring woman , excellent at knitting and I am very pleased her book is helping you. Spontaneous laughter is such a relief at times. I wish you well in your recovery and I am around if I can be of help.
