Angels in conversation

Just before ‘Thrive’ came out, my lovely friend Emily sent me a card telling me that It Would Be All Right. I put it on the mantelpiece.
The card is an angel by Anita Klein, one of my two favourite contemporary artists. (The other one, Cynthia Barlow Marrs, drew me! Look here – or cast your mind back to Monday’s post…)
The print on the card is called ‘Noisy Bird’. (I have been called many things since my dance with cancer began: victim, survivor, dancer, thriver, warrior, babe, to name but a few. Now I am thinking I might be a Noisy Bird of cancer. Heaven knows, there are worse things.)
If you’re vaguely recognising the angelic vibe, it might be because my friends bought me a 40th birthday angel. or you might be thinking of the angel that sits above our fireplace.
It’s probably a month since the card arrived, but I can’t bring myself to take it down.
I think you will be able to see why.
I wonder what they are talking about?
(I wrote more about my angels here.)
