What better, on a Saturday morning, than a little mooch around the interwebs?
I haven’t read The Book Everyone Is Talking About, because I’m actually a bit of a fan of good, honest sex. Y’know, bodies and love and pleasure and stuff. Which is the reason that I found two articles about sex tips from Cosmopolitan so amusing. If you’re of a sensitive disposition, don’t look – but if you’ve ever read Cosmo and thought, well, actually, I’ll have sex when I feel sexy and eat food when I’m hungry, rather than combining the two, thanks…. look here (terrible sex tips for women) and here (dreadful sex tips for men – really, boys, don’t).
I love this flow chart of what to read if you’re not reading The Book Everyone Is Talking About.
And this selection of poor reviews on amazon made me laugh, especially in the light of my recent experience.
If anyone could get away with making The Author’s Big Mistake, it was Spike Milligan. Here’s his letter to someone who didn’t like his book.
And finally -in my early years as a mother, I was always a big fan of Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. ‘C is for Cookie’ was one of Ned’s favourites. So I find this irresistible. And apposite, as I’m just off to Mum’s for coffee with her and my aunts, and I’m taking peanut butter cookies with me.
Have a lovely Saturday.
