Me and my dolly

I saw my precious goddaughter Evie recently, and gave her her birthday presents. I’d made matching dresses for her and her birthday dolly, also called Evie.

Now, Evie is (and, I suspect, always will be) the kind of girl who would look fab in a potato sack, but I did think this really suited her, and I showed the picture to my Mum. (Mum had added to dolly-Evie’s wardrobe with a knitted coat, hat, and hoodie. I’d made some other clothes too, so that dolly is ready for anything.)

A couple of days later Mum found this picture of me and my dolly.

My Grandma knitted that cardigan for her.

This pair of photographs makes me very, very happy.

  1. Wow, your doll’s a seventies goddess – a bit Catherine Deneuve, I reckon.
