Pottering around

So, Sundays are Sundays again. I’ve loved the special-occasion ones, but it’s also good to be back at coffee with The Archers and nothing much planned. In the spirit of gentle pottering, I offer you some lovely bits of interwebs. Enjoy.

There are stunning photographs of animal camouflage here.

And there’s a lesson in great writing in Maya Stein’s Ten-Line Tuesday.

I enjoyed reading this article about a Georgian monthly magazine for women – or rather, ladies.

And I loved, loved, loved this list of 25 things you didn’t know have names. I was especially delighted to learn that there are words for the sound of a stomach rumble, and the mishearing of lyrics. (I have yet to be convinced that Freddie Mercury isn’t singing ‘Beelzebub has a devil for a sideboard’ in Bohemian Rhapsody.) And now I know I have Morton’s Toe.

Finally, here’s a beautiful piece of music and video. Enjoy.
