Actually, this is so much more than a titbit. This is one of my Best Bits Ever.
On Tuesday, en route to speak at a conference, I swung by Hay House and collected these.
After the conference, I met Ned, and he took a photo that could go into an illustrated dictionary under ‘pleased as punch’.
I signed a copy of my book,
and I gave it to one of the people it is dedicated to.
And then the thing that this whole process has been about – the thing that I have wished, most of all, for my book, more even than the not-pinkness of it or the heft of it in my own hand – started to happen.
Do you see that? Someone is reading my book.
Which is the first step to someone being helped by my book. (Maybe not Ned, because he is more of a source of help than someone in need of it, but you never know.)
Even if everyone who reads it finds only one small thing that makes their life one little bit easier, or makes them laugh, or makes them feel a little less alone, or helps them to understand what their beloved is going through…. I will feel as though the Bah! book is doing what I mean for it to do.
Here’s hoping.
